Published on: August 8, 2019
On Saturday, August 3rd members from Local 1/AFSCME attended the AFSCME Public Service Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nineteen presidential candidates gathered at the University of Nevada where they faced questions about their commitment to protecting public services and the working men and women who dedicate their lives to their communities. All 19 candidates agreed that our country needs a federal law that expands and protects collective bargaining rights for all public service workers.
