Local 1 and the Contra Costa Community College District have reached a Tentative Agreement!

Published on: May 31, 2018

PEU, Local 1 leaders and staff organized a contract campaign blitz and made a huge presence at all 3 campuses (LMC, DVC, and CCC) and the District Office last week to garner support for our classified employee’s contract negotiations. Over 65 Local 1 members showed up to the Governing Board Meeting on Wednesday, May 23rd. This was an important show of solidarity! The strength of our members moved the Governing Board to direct management to negotiate a fair contract.

The 2017-18 and 2018-19 Tentative Agreement between Contra Costa Community College District and Public Employees Union, Local 1 includes the following important items:

–              Each Classified Employee shall receive a one-time bonus of $1,100, prorated by months of service in 2017-18 and FTE.

–              A 3% increase to the salary schedule effective July 1, 2018.

–              An added step to the Longevity Pay allowance – 2.5% above regular salary beginning with the 9th fiscal year of service.

–              Maintain the current cash in lieu for the 2018-2019 year for those who receive cash-in-lieu of medical benefits as of June 30, 2018.

and much more…

When enough is enough you have to show up and show out! We are so proud of our members and leaders for taking a strong stand.
