NOVA: National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

Please join Local One/AFSCME in congratulating our Contra Costa County’s District Victims’ Witness Unit as they will receive recognition as a “NOVA 2019 Honorary Awardee” in honor of their tireless efforts to advance crime victims’ rights.

This group of awesome CCC Local One/AFSCME employees was nominated for this recognition by one of their unit’s members, whom collectively recognized the critical impact this group of employees makes on a daily basis. Their dedication to assist and empower victims and survivors of crime is an inspiration to us all. Most significantly, the extraordinary compassion, leadership, and ingenuity in our members’ work has helped countless victims and survivors begin to heal in the aftermath of a crime.

As a NOVA 2019 Honorary Awardee, NOVA will honor this group in the following ways:

  • NOVA will recognize our members on the NOVA web site and social media during their observation of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
  • The CCC Victim Witness Unit group’s name and program will appear on NOVA’s web site along with fellow awardees receiving this recognition.
  • A very special invite to participate in NOVA’s observation of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (April 7-13, 2019). at a Cocktail Reception in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 11, 2019.

Once again, congratulations to our very own for such a special recognition!

Thank you for all you do to support and empower victims and survivors of crime in Contra Costa County.

Way to go!
